Proud American Catholic of Irish and Italian descent. God Bless all my brothers and sisters. 🙏🏻
I went to Catholic school for 8 years and we used to sing this at benediction
Was there an earthquake during this?
Loved the music. Disliked the clapping. Remember who it is that is in the tabernacle! Clapping is for entertainment. The Mass is greater than this.
What are those soldiers in the recessional
They're members of the Knights of Columbus
I am proud to be a Catholic... And we are so blessed with such rich songs.. it's just painful that Catholicism is not as strong in western countries as it is in Africa
Who can stand this terrible music? I can´t.
Thank you, and thank you for playing "Holy God We Praise Thy Name" at a tempo other than a dirge.
Yea, it's unfortunate that it's sometimes played at a very slow pace... It's a praise and should have live.. atleast moderato pace
Geez... where's the fire? Why so fast?
I feel blessed to be Catholic
amen
Nice but I personally play it a bit slower.❤
Beautiful hymm! 🙏
My Catholic faith is my anchor… don’t know anything more BEAUTIFUL JESUS and Mary bless and watch over our new priest I pray for more vocations we are in desperate need of more good faith young men to give their lives to Jesus ✝️💜🙏🏻
Is the church on fire? I think I saw a priest and alter boy running. Lol. Beautiful but slow down. God bless you.
This is giving me Midnight Mass flashbacks
This is one of my absolute favorite Christian hymms. This will be the song as we enter heaven
What's the rush. Beauyiful but rushed. Take a breath. Lol
@@kenkrueckeberg7889 I like it this fast and also slower
@@joanronhock2048 hope i didnt offend anyone. We all ljke different things. They play it better than i ever could regardless of the tempo. Lol
I would love for you to listen to "O God beyond all praising, we worship you today"
this IS the NUMBER ONE hymn in the Roman Catholic Church, and yes it will be sung as we enter heaven
Fine organist, great and consistent tempo. Wish we had more like you in our RC churches
The foolish yoke rarely cough because domain ultrascructurally beam amidst a puzzling actor. pleasant, chilly example
All I have to say to you is that if you do not worship God and enter Islam as the last of the religions, and this is known to the Christians and Jews, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of God (Do they not contemplate the Qur’an, even if it was from other than God, they would have found in it much difference) If you do not believe in God and Muhammad, the last of the messengers, you will enter Hell and will not come out. From it, and you will not die in it, it will remain forever. I wish you to turn your face to the sky and tadoa to God to guide you to the straight path.
I wished they could sing this hymn in a slower pace …so one could FEEL THE HOLY SPIRIT….
Agree. I love it as a slow worship to God.
Way too fast
The Lord Jesus Christ the great shepherd is with his sheep.none of them will be lost.
All clan cut and devout MEN. As it should be. My favorite hymn of all. TE DEUM LAUDAMUS!
Indeed. What could exceed it? Be blessed always.

TRUE AND POWERFUL CONVERSION STORY! March, 2022 Thank GOD for our LADY of GUADALUPE; when I visited her Shrine in Mexico in Dec. 2012, and I was suffering at the time of "Sleep Apenea" I was healed really while still there - FRARNKLY, my first intensions were to honor her. †Also, when I prayed few Rosaries to help me to quit smoking cigaretes on May 17, 1998, she answered my prayers immediately, though I was SUPER skeptical at that time. †Truely, when I was inspired to recite one single Rosary in December 12, 2000, I was healed from my unbelief (Jn. 14: 1) - and I tried at the time first to pray OUR FATHER, but I couldn't remember the prayer; and GOD still saved me! Also During my first Holy arosary procession outdoors on May 13, 2001, I saw Queen of the Rosary walking with us for 4-5 seconds; And she had long, dark, blue dress & absolutely attractive one. †Since my conversion, I try NOT to miss attending Masses weekly or daily etc. And I pray the Devine Mercy Chaplet at 3:00pm for years, and I NEVER miss it. †UNDOUBTLY, Reading & meditating in "Gospel of life" according to the daily readings is like my "daily bread" And I read the Bible from cover to cover 3 times since my conversion! & I read CCC as well, (Is. 55: 10 -11). Also, I like to what some one says: every winter turns into spring. But "The fool says in his heart, "There is no God"(Ps.14:1) †Unfortunately, many "Catholics don't know what they have, and Evangelicals don't know what they are missing!" †And I used to attend few different Evangelical Churches for a few years searching for TRUTH while residing in Stockholm & they opened my eyes a little bid to the faith at the time. † God is still in the miracle buisness. And thank God for the most holy ROSARY prayer, etc. Psalm 107:13 - 14)" **"This is the day which GOD hath made a day for us to REJOICE & be GLAD"-Ps.118: 2. †By Saba Korial, MIC, & I was born in Middle East in Palm Sun., now Christian Catholic & Canadian. (2 Tm 2:4 & 4:7). Note that the Name of God is mentioned 3 times while praying the ROSARY as follow: first the LORD, then Jesus & GOD. ruclips.net/video/tufbM2TJoBs/видео.html SHARE WITH FRIENDS ruclips.net/video/V8u0S3WJhqY/видео.html

This is absolutely beautiful and fills my heart with joy. In today's America the romantic, pair-bonded relationship is held as the highest form of love, and IMO that, even more than the horrible abuse scandal, is what keeps people away from the priesthood. That these two men choose to give that up and dedicate their lives to God and their whole community is inspiring. Unfortunately, the comment section below is one of the most cranky I've seen in a long time. "The tempo is too fast" "the soprano sucks"... well I think it's gorgeous. And the "no clapping in church for any reason" people are being dogmatic about something that isn't dogma. The applause is beautiful! It's an expression of the joy I felt watching this video.
Yes, I go to Blessed Sacrament Catholic church in Clermont, Fl . We clapp, in fact the new priest on the right looks like a young version of Father Bob

Why do Catholic laymen like to dress up, so ostentatious. Should heard the Holy Fathers word on littleness.
Vert nice, I'm proud to be catholic. From Congo DRC
Catholic clergy are the best dressed, a very show of the majesty of God on earth, they have great well done dressing because every great Christian gathering especially important ones like these have to mirror the majesty of our great God and King.
Now we need all the world help my family to praying for father we live in Thailand refugee in maela camp we are holy family cleaning and doing everything at the church but now we feeling sad we need praying for my family thax
Now you have my prayers here on the other side of the world. We are one in Christ and one with those who have gone before us. The Kingdom of God is on earth as it is in heaven. Bless you and your family.
Beautiful
This is way to fast. This is a solemn hymn, not pop music.
I can't think of anything more beautiful than the Catholic Church

Great
How beautiful is our Catholic faith!! And look at those days when the church was packed with no masks on! Please let these days come back!!

Hello Madeline how are you doing and how is the weather over there with you
Love this hymn, except it's a little too fast. Otherwise it's beautiful.
Yes, one of the best recessionals. It was beautiful but the tempo was out of character for a traditional hymn.
and the lady soprano trying to sing a descant total fail there!
Beautiful hands down, no question about it. But, "Wherever applause breaks out in the liturgy because of some human achievement, it is a sure sign that the essence of liturgy has totally disappeared and been replaced by a kind of religious entertainment. Such attraction fades quickly - it cannot compete in the market of leisure pursuits, incorporating as it increasingly does various forms of religious titillation” Pope Benedict XVI I grew up with applause, including from my mother, at the end of novus ordo masses when the guitars finished playing. IDK if those were the "good days" in the church or not. Maybe the storm hadn't hit yet or caught the weather guy's eye. The storm has blown me back to the traditional camp and my mother sent me her old Latin missal she grew up with. "Therefore, brothers, stand firm and hold fast to the traditions that you were taught, either by an oral statement or by a letter of ours." St. Paul
I've always been of the opinion that clapping is okay when it's something done through God and not through man. Moments like after people enter the church at the Easter Vigil or when a man is given Holy Orders that's not a human achievement it's celebrating the work God has done through man.
It's an ordination mass. They are applauding and congratulating the new priests (or whatever they are called in English). They even applaud after ordination masses in Germany, where applauding in a church is definitely not a normal thing to do: ruclips.net/video/1Wd-wXqof0E/видео.html
When I was a youngster in Arizona, 50's, early 60's, people didn't clap after Mass. In the military service at Air bases when I would go to Mass people did not clap. I lived much of my adult life in California and people did not clap after Mass. But they were always ordinary Masses, even Holy days. I find now, here in Texas people do applaud at the end of the last hymn. Of course, I've never been to a Mass of ordination. People seem to do it as a symbol or re enforcement of their idea that it is okay to go to church in today's modern world. I sincerely hope it comes from their hearts and not their egos. But it seems to be the local custom and while I don't clap because I didn't grow up with it, I don't have a problem with it. Applause is collective approval and I'd rather have it rather than shouts and whistles as if people were at a football game. Going to Mass is solem dedication which should come from the heart and agreement of both mind and heart. I too cherish my Catholic Faith.
Y favourite hymn so proud to be a catholuc
Hello Dorothy how are you doing and how is the weather over there with you
Uggghh Clapping in Church
"Wherever applause breaks out in the liturgy because of some human achievement, it is a sure sign that the essence of liturgy has totally disappeared and been replaced by a kind of religious entertainment. Such attraction fades quickly - it cannot compete in the market of leisure pursuits, incorporating as it increasingly does various forms of religious titillation” Pope Benedict XVI
See, in a way I agree with you, but also no. When my brother was ordained, we clapped. Briefly. Ordination is essentially the priest marrying the Church, so I saw it as no different that a brief applause during a wedding, to celebrate the Bride and Groom's vocation. Just another perspective. The clapping wasn't for the music, but for the new priests and a celebration and show of support and love for their vocation. I'm not for clapping during Mass after music or most things, but this is appropriate, I think.
@@erikdrake6317 amen PBXVI
.Make a joyful noise unto the Lord!
@@erikdrake6317 I don't see a problem with clapping after the Celebration of the Mass has concluded. In this case, the people are clapping to show their appreciation for the new priest's ordination and their commitment to be faithful priests in Christ's Church.
Nothing is more poignant than when a newly ordained priest gives his first blessing, usually to his mother.
I agree it's too fast. I believe this hymn is meant to be worship, not praise. But it's always so beautiful.
While I totally agree that the tempo is much too fast you seem to forget that worship and praise are invariably entwined Amen to that
I agree, too fast. Praise to the Lord is not meant to be rushed either.
This is beautiful, Michael. Thank you for sharing.
